Red Oaks Cottage is a program of Red Oaks Collective. It is our specialized educational program serving students from kindergarten through high school in a nurturing, low-ratio environment designed for learners with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Every child is unique. We begin with a conversation and tour so we can learn about your child’s strengths, challenges, and goals. Our priority is ensuring each student is placed in an environment where they can be safe, successful, and happy.
We serve students from kindergarten through high school through our Cottage Day School, along with social and enrichment programs for children, teens, and young adults.
Many of our students have autism, but we also serve individuals with other developmental disabilities. Admission is based on whether we believe we can meet your child’s individual needs.
We maintain small class sizes with approximately a 4:1 student-to-staff ratio, allowing for individualized instruction, meaningful relationships, and increased support throughout the day.
Yes. We welcome students with a variety of communication styles and work closely with families and therapists to support each child’s individual needs.
We provide individualized instruction based on each student’s academic abilities, developmental level, and learning style. Our goal is meaningful progress, confidence, and independence—not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Homework is kept minimal and meaningful. We believe family time is important, and any home activities are designed to reinforce learning without creating unnecessary stress.
We believe behavior is communication. Our staff focuses on understanding the “why” behind behaviors while teaching replacement skills in a calm, compassionate, and supportive environment. We emphasize prevention, consistency, and positive relationships.
Student safety is our highest priority. Our staff receives training to provide close supervision and individualized support for students who require additional monitoring.
Many students receive therapy through outside providers. We work collaboratively with families and therapy partners whenever possible to support each child’s goals.
Students participate in academics, social skills, art, music, physical education, outdoor activities, life skills, and individualized learning experiences in a structured daily routine.
Absolutely! Building friendships is one of our highest priorities. Throughout the day, students participate in structured social opportunities, group activities, games, and community experiences that encourage meaningful relationships.

We will provide families with a supply list before the school year begins. Depending on your child’s needs, this may include a lunch, snacks, communication device, change of clothes, medications (if applicable), and any comfort items approved by the school.
